The highest distinction of the Holy Metropolis (Bishopric) of Corinth, being the Order of the Apostle Paul, was honorably awarded on the 29th June, 2018 by the Reverend Metropolitan of Corinth Mr. Dionisios to Mr. Damianos Constantinou, President of the Centre for Hellenism Damianos Foundation, in recognition of the love with which he had embraced and continues to embrace in real terms, the Metropolis of Corinth and its people, naming him as the greatest Greek-spirited Cypriot Benefactor.
The ceremony took place in Apostle Paul Cathedral of Corinth after the celebrations of St. Paul name day in which have participated 12 Metropolitans (Bishops) of the Church of Greece and Bishop Isaias from the Church of Cyprus.
The same honor was bestowed for the first time during last year’s similar celebrations upon the President of the Hellenic Republic Mr. Procopis Pavlopoulos and to the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece Mr. Ieronymos.

The University of Athens in collaboration with the University of Cyprus organized anti-occupational events for Cyprus, in Messinia, Attika and in Schino dedicated to the victims of the Turkish invasion in Cyprus, with the participation of the Dance Group of the University of Cyprus.

Residents of the area and many visitors had the opportunity to attend the event where they enjoyed traditional Cypriot dances and songs.
The Committee of Athens University for Cyprus in co operation with the University of Cyprus organised manifestations in various places of Greece in order to promote the Cultural Heritage and the National Issue of Cyprus. On Wednesday 18th July, 2012 the dancing group of the University under the leadership of Professor Andreas Voskos presented traditional songs and dances at the Centre for Hellenism Damianos Foundation.

On Saturday 23rd June, 2012 a student delegation of the American Hellenic Institute visited the Centre for Hellenism Damianos Foundation.
The students accompanied by the president of AHI Mr. Nick Larigakis, enjoyed the tour and they exchanged in dialogue views and perspectives regarding U.S. relations with Greece and Cyprus with Mr. Damianos Constantinou.
On Sunday 17th July, 2011 at 20:00 the dancing group of the University of Cyprus under the leadership of Professor Andreas Voskos presented traditional songs and dances of Cyprus at the theatre of the Centre for Hellenism Damianos Foundation at Schinos Loutrakiou.
Mr. Damianos Constantinou after welcoming the guests, he set the tone of the evening and invited the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus in Greece Mr. Joseph Joseph who reassured for the continuation of struggle for the reunification of Cyprus.

On Saturday June 18th, students from the AHI under the leadership of President Mr. Nick Larigakis visited the Centre for Hellenism Damianos Foundation.
The American Hellenic Institute which is a non profit public policy organization that works to strengthen relations between the United States, Greece and Cyprus, organised for the third time a study trip to Greece and Cyprus for Greek American college students.
Mr. Damianos Constantinou led them on a personal tour and he got the opportunity to discuss with them what is happening in Greece, Cyprus and America.

"KENTHEA" (Centre for Drug Prevention and Rehabilitation for Substance Dependent Persons) is an organisation which is established in Cyprus.
During their educational trip to Athens and Corinthos they visited the Centre for Hellenism Damianos Foundation on Sunday 11th April, 2010.
They had a guided tour at the Garden of Greek Culture and Civilisation and enjoyed a stroll at the Historic Rose Garden in its full bloom.

“Gordios Desmos” performed at the theatre of the Centre for Hellenism Damianos Foundation melodies of Stavros Xarhakos, Manos Loizos, Marios Tokas and other composers. The event took place on Saturday 19th at 21:00.
The Committee of the University of Athens for Cyprus within the framework of close cooperation with the University of Cyprus organized a series of events on the occasion of the anniversary of the invasion of Turks in Cyprus in July 1974 with the participation of the Dancing Group of the University of Cyprus. Professor and Chairman of the Department of Literature at the University of Athens, Mr Andreas Voskos was at the head of the Group. After a series of appearances in various parts of Greece such as Patra and Kalavrita they visited Schino Loutrakiou. The event was held on Sunday 13th at 21:00 at the theatre of the Centre for Hellenism Damianos Foundation. The guests enjoyed Cypriot songs and dances.
The orchestra “Gordios Desmos” presented the music of Mikis Thodorakis and Manos Hatzidakis on the 31st of July at 9:00 p.m. at the Centre for Hellenism. Plenty of people had an enjoyable evening.
On the 24th of June, 2007 the theatric group of the Secondary School and Lyceum of Loutraki presented “The position of women in community according to Evripides”. It was an exquisite play and a lot of people had a very nice evening.
His Beatitude the Archibishop of Athens and all Greece Mr. Christodoulos revealed the statue of Constantinos Palaiologos and noted that: “The Centre for Hellenism is a panhellenic monument which emphasises on the importance of Greek history and the bonds of our nation”.

Plenty of people enjoyed the show.

Mr. Damianos Constantinou, founder of the Centre, pointed out the significance of preserving the Cypriot folklore and cultural heritage.
