INAUGURATION OF THE AMPHITHEATRE “COSTIS DAMIANOU”

Amphitheatre “Costis Damianou” was inaugurated by the President of Democracy of Cyprus Mr. Dimitris Christofias on Thursday September 3rd 2009 at 19:30.

President D. Christofias pointed out that: “Our civilization and our cultural heritage is our defense weapon against the continuing Turkish occupation.”

Among the distinguished guests were: Minister of Education of Cyprus Mr. Andreas Dimitriou, Cypriot Minister of Presidency Mr. George Iacovou, ex-Ministers Claire Aggelidou and Chrysostomos Sofianos, professor Andreas Voskos, Dr. Patroklos Stavrou, General Manager of Alpha Bank Cyprus Mr. Costas Kokkinos.

At the Cultural Centre of Mitsero Damianos Foundation a photography exhibition entitled “Mitsero 1920-1970” was presented.
