The American Hellenic Institute which is a non profit public policy organization that works to strengthen relations between the United States, Greece and Cyprus, organised a study trip to Greece and Cyprus for Greek American college students.

On Saturday June 26, the students under the leadership of AHI Executive Director Mr. Nick Larigakis visited the Centre for Hellenism Damianos Foundation.

Mr. Damianos Constantinou led them on a personal tour of the Garden of Greek Civilization and Culture and the Historic Rose Garden and the beautiful evening ended with dinner by the poolside.

"KENTHEA" (Centre for Drug Prevention and Rehabilitation for Substance Dependent Persons) is an organisation which is established in Cyprus.

During their educational trip to Athens and Corinthos they visited the Centre for Hellenism Damianos Foundation on Sunday 11th April, 2010.

They had a guided tour at the Garden of Greek Culture and Civilisation and enjoyed a stroll at the Historic Rose Garden in its full bloom.

Among the distinguished guests there were :
The Mayor of Larnaka Mr. Andreas Moiseos, the Mayor of Corinthos Mr. Alexandros Pnevmatikos, and the Mayor of Loutraki - Pera
chora Mr. Georgios Gionis.

“Gordios Desmos” performed at the theatre of the Centre for Hellenism Damianos Foundation melodies of Stavros Xarhakos, Manos Loizos, Marios Tokas and other composers. The event took place on Saturday 19th at 21:00.

The Committee of the University of Athens for Cyprus within the framework of close cooperation with the University of Cyprus organized a series of events on the occasion of the anniversary of the invasion of Turks in Cyprus in July 1974 with the participation of the Dancing Group of the University of Cyprus. Professor and Chairman of the Department of Literature at the University of Athens, Mr Andreas Voskos was at the head of the Group. After a series of appearances in various parts of Greece such as Patra and Kalavrita they visited Schino Loutrakiou. The event was held on Sunday 13th at 21:00 at the theatre of the Centre for Hellenism Damianos Foundation. The guests enjoyed Cypriot songs and dances.

The orchestra “Gordios Desmos” presented the music of Mikis Thodorakis and Manos Hatzidakis on the 31st of July at 9:00 p.m. at the Centre for Hellenism. Plenty of people had an enjoyable evening.

On the 24th of June, 2007 the theatric group of the Secondary School and Lyceum of Loutraki presented “The position of women in community according to Evripides”.  It was an exquisite play and a lot of people had a very nice evening.

His Beatitude the Archibishop of Athens and all Greece Mr. Christodoulos revealed the statue of Constantinos Palaiologos and noted that: “The Centre for Hellenism is a panhellenic monument which emphasises on the importance of Greek history and the bonds of our nation”. 

Among the distinguished guests were: ex-Prime Minister Mr. Ioannis Grivas, Prefect of Corinth Mr. Nikos Tagaras, the Metropolitan of Corinth Mr. Dionisios, the Mayor of Loutraki Mr. George Gionis, the Mayor of Megara Mr. Dimitrios Stratiotis, the Mayor of Papagou Mr. Vasilis Xidis, the Mayor of Asso-Lehaio Mr. Charalabos Kabouris, the Mayor of Voha Mr. George Liountris.

The Cultural Museum of the Municipality of Loutraki presented a “Cultural Festival” at the Centre for Hellenism Damianos Foundation on the 24th of July at 8:30 p.m. During the festival the revival of the old custom of Saint John Klidonas took place, traditional outfits were presented together with traditional songs and dancing. Plenty of people enjoyed the show.

The sound of music of Mikis Thodorakis and Manos Hatzidakis was heard by the orchestra of “Gordios Desmos” on the 15th of July at 9:00 p.m. at the Centre for Hellenism. Plenty of people had an enjoyable evening.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus Mr. George Iakovou revealed the statues and he noted that «…the Centre for Hellenism has created a cultural bridge between Greece and Cyprus».

Among the distinguished guests were: Mr. Eugene Rossides president of the American Hellenic Institute, vice-prefect of Corinth Mr. George Petritis, the Mayor of Nicosia Mr. Michael Zampellas, the Mayor of Loutraki Mr. Pavlos Pavlou, the Mayor of Penteli Mr. Costas Kossovitsas, the Ambassador of Cyprus Mr. George Georgis.

For the second year a Cypriot Cultural Festival took place at the Centre for Hellenism Damianos Foundation.

Among the distinguished guests were: the Ambassador of Cyprus Mr. George Georgis, the General Secretary of Cyprus Ministry Council Mr. Andreas Moleskis, ex-Prime Minister of Greece and Chairman of the Supreme Court Mr. Ioannis Grivas, the Mayor of Nicosia Mr. Michael Zampellas, the Mayor of Loutraki Mr. Pavlos Pavlou, film director Mr. Michael Kakogiannis and plenty of people.

At the end of May (30/5-31/5/04), the Centre for Hellenism Damianos Foundation, hosted at Schinos, Corinth a Cypriot cultural festival.

Mr. Damianos Constantinou, founder of the Centre, pointed out the significance of preserving the Cypriot folklore and cultural heritage.  The Mayor of Nicosia Cyprus Mr. Michael Zampelas who was the honored guest, expressed his joy for being present at a festival which brings the two countries closer. Among the guests were: Mr. Eugene Rossides president of the American Hellenic Institute (AHI), the representative of the prefecture of Corinth Mr. Constantinos Kolias, the Mayor of Megara Mr. Chrysostomos Syrkos, the Mayor of Voha Mr. Spiros Christodoulou, the representative of the mayoralty of Loutraki Mr. Anastasios Papadimitriou and plenty of people.

The Hellenic Rose Society and its president Mr. Damianos Constantinou, on Thursday 26th June, 2003 invited the ambassadors of all the countries and plenty of personalities of the political and business life of our country to enjoy the Schinos Rose Garden at the Centre for Hellenism Damianos Foundation at Schinos Loutrakiou.  

Among the guests who honored us with their presence were:  The Ambassador of the United Kingdom Sir David Madden with his wife Lady Bianka Madden, the Ambassador of Malta Mr. Evarist Saliba with his wife Mrs. Fiona Formosa, the Ambassador of Venezuela Madam Stredel Balliache-Lysan, the Ambassador of Cyprus Mr. Leonidas Pantelides, the Ambassador of Brazil Mr. Cruz Roberto de Abreu, the Prefect of Corinth Mr. Nikolaos Tagaras, the Mayor of Loutraki Mr. Pavlos Pavlou, the Mayor of Megara Mr. Chrysostomos Syrkos, Mrs. Fotini Livanou, the President of the Union of Greek Shipowners Mr. Nikolaos Efthymiou, the president of Piraeus Marine Club Mr. George Dalakoura and many others.

His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew visited and blessed the facilities of the Centre for Hellenism on the 24th of October, 2000 at 17:00 .

Metropolite of Corinth Panteleimonas, the Mayor of Loutraki Mr. Pavlos Pavlou and Mr. Damianos Constantinou the founder of the Centre, as well as hundreds of people welcomed H.A.H. the Ecumenical Patriarch.

The Centre for Hellenism Damianos Foundation and the House Of Cyprus co-hosted a Cypriot Cultural festival at Schinos Loutraki on Saturday 1st July, 2000 at 19:00 .   

Contests of Cypriot folk poetry and songs by Akathiotis and Apseros two very popular Cypriot artists as well as a programme of Cypriot traditional dances by the folklore society “Aradippos” took place.

The inauguration of the premises of the Centre For Hellenism Damianos Foundation took place on Saturday 3rd July, 1999 at Schinos Loutraki Corinth.

The Minister of Education of Cyprus Mr. Ouranios Ioannides, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus Mr. George Iacovou, Mr. Eleftherios Pistikides representative of the Ministry of Education and Religion of Greece, the Ambassador of Cyprus Mr. Christodoulos Pasiardis, and professor Andreas Voskos, Fivos Christodoulou and Athina Shina were present among other distinguished guests.
